Ms. Marcia Windley Quidley, age 90, a resident of Ridgewood Manor, Washington, NC and a previous resident of Belhaven, NC passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Beaufort County Medical Center.

    Ms. Marcia Windley Quidley, age 90, a resident of Ridgewood Manor, Washington, NC and a previous resident of Belhaven, NC passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Beaufort County Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at West Belhaven Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by pastor Medford Hopkins. Burial will follow at Belhaven Community Cemetery. Casey Lee Cutler, Ronnie Flowers, Michael Perry, Mike Quidley, Jr., Chuck Rose, Ward Rose and Bryan Sawyer will serve as pallbearers.

    The family will receive friends this evening, August 17, 2011 at Belhaven Pentecostal Holiness Church from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., and other times at the home of her son, B.T. Quidley, 2242 N.C. Highway 99 South, Belhaven.

    Ms. Quidley was born on May 26, 1921 in Beaufort County, daughter of James Joyner Windley and the former Gertrude Everett. She was an operating room assistant at Pungo District Hospital and a member of West Belhaven Pentecostal Holiness Church. Ms. Quidley was married to Mr. Richard Burl Quidley, who preceded her in death in 1986. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with close friends at Hardees.

    Survivors include her daughter, Eldean Q. Mitchell of Washington; two sons, Burl T. “B.T.” Quidley of Belhaven and Michael Lynn Quidley of Pinetown; two sisters, Clara Ellen McNomee of Ridgley, MD and Verna E. Kaiss of Baltimore, MD; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Quidley, Kristy Q. Williams, Tonja Q. Rose, Michael Quidley Jr., Heather Q. Sawyer, Julie C. Perry, Casey L. Cutler, Michael L. Mitchell and Billy Earl Mitchell; and 10 great-grandchildren.

    Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Wallace and Viola Woolard; and two brothers, James Garvey Windley and Bryant Oden Windley. Online condolences may be directed to the family by visiting www.hillsidefuneralservice.com.
