    An ECU StoryBook Theatre production of The Giver, a play for ages 10 & up, and adults alike.

    A workshop in acting and playwriting for 4-12th grade and up will follow the performance.

    An Irish terrorist of the early '90s returns home, hell-bent on finding the person who crushed the skull of his black tomcat and left him for dead on the side of the road. Human cadavers quickly accumulate in Martin McDonagh's pitch-black comedy.

Film Acting Workshop

    Tuesday, March 22nd 6-8 PM

    Fee $20.00

    For aspiring actors 14 years old and up. Workshop instructor Steve Myott is a former member of East Carolina University faculty. The workshop will offer information on how to get started in film acting, current information regarding casting agencies, talent agencies, and opportunities for extra and stand-in work. All information will be pertinent to current productions in the region, particularly the Wilmington area.



    Creative Dramatics' next session will take place on Saturdays, April 2 and 9 for youth in grades 6 - 8, the times are 9am-12pm.

    Attendees will participate in two workshops that will include character creation and movement, costume design and creation, and playwriting and story development. Each age group will perform a play created and developed as a result of their efforts. Performances will be open to family, friends, and the public.

    The lecture will cover the early maritime history of Beaufort County and its first Customs Service operation which was created by the Lords Proprietors of the Carolina Colony on August 1, 1716. This talk is offered by HPOW the Historic Port of Washington in partnership with The Washington Estuarium: the speaker will be Ms. G. Hookway-Jones who also presented at the NC Maritime History Council annual conference in Elizabeth City last November.
