Photo Camera Projection - Using Old Photos | Eastern North Carolina Now

Using modern technology to make old pictures come alive, almost.

ENCNow
I am always looking for interesting skill and craftsmanship displays. Our modern automation world has replaced the mundane tasks but left open time for the truly gifted and dedicated craftsman or artist to use the tools and technology available today to create even greater works of art. Can you imagine the time and effort that went into creating this visual work of art?

Here is an example of Camera Projection based on old photographs. I am still in awe with the talent and the time required to create this. I am also actively looking for some tutorial or videos showing the process. I have no illusions about me ever creating anything using Photo Camera Projection, but the process and technique would be a worthwhile project to study.

"The Old New World" is a Photo-based animation project. It's a travel back in time with a little steampunk time machine. The main part of this video was made with Camera projection based on photos. This short video is only 3:48 long but it must have took many hours if not weeks to prepare.

The artist's name is Alexey Zakharov and there are several other interesting videos at this site.
