Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division and Investigators with the Drug Unit executed a search warrant on Rhonda Jones' residence located at 322 Main Street in Edward for stolen items and drugs

    On 05-11-2016, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division and Investigators with the Drug Unit executed a search warrant on Rhonda Jones' residence located at 322 Main Street in Edward for stolen items and drugs.

    Investigators searched the residence and found a stolen 7mm Browning Rifle, Heroin, Cocaine, Marijuana, digital scales and packaging material used to repackage controlled substances for resale.

    Rhonda Jones, 38 years of age of 322 Main Street in Edward was arrested and charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Obtaining property by False Pretense, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Rhonda Jones was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $32,500.00 secured bond.

    Tandric Tyre, 37 years of age, of 322 Main Street in Edward was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Tyre was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $120,000.00 secured bond.

    A Detention Officer conducted a search of Tyre before placing Tyre in a cell. The Detention Officer discovered that Tyre had approximately 7 grams of cocaine, a Suboxone Strip and an Oxycodone pill hidden in his rectum. Tyre is now facing additional charges for Possessing Controlled Substance in a Jail, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance.

    Sabrina Jones, 35 years of age, of 304 Main Street in Edward was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jones was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $2,500.00 secured bond.

On Monday, April 13, 2026, the Beaufort County Grand Jury returned a True Bill of Indictment against 24-year-old Brady O’Neil Daniels of Wallace, NC, charging him with the murder of Billy Joe Bell in 2023.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in a wooded area near Pamlico Plantation in Washington NC.
In the past month, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and K9 Division have arrested 10 people in the county on felony drug charges.
On December 12, 2025, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested 27-year-old Nikkopenia Terra Echevarria of Washington, NC on multiple felony drug charges.
Beaufort County District Attorney Thomas D. Anglim disclosed that Ryan Austin Stalls was convicted of two counts attempted murder and one count of attempted first degree ex offense and first-degree kidnapping following a guilty plea in Beaufort County on December 9, 2025.
On December 22, 2025, Deputies from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Aurora/Richlands area for a report of a foul odor coming from inside a rental property where a tenant had previously moved out.

On December 5, 2025, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested 39-year-old, Arnold Gerard Whitney of Belhaven, NC on multiple drug and weapon charges.
On Tuesday December 9th, 2025, 33-year-old Ryan Austin Stalls pled guilty in Beaufort County Superior Court to the following charges:
Today I officially filed for re-election, seeking to continue my service to the citizens of Beaufort County.
On January 27, 2025 Washington Police Department officers and Washington Fire/Rescue personnel responded to the area of Bonner Street and E. Martin Luther King Jr. Street in reference to a report of a motor vehicle crash.
During the past month, members from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit, Patrol Division and K9 Unit have charged seven people in the county on felony drug charges.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office needs your help locating a wanted person. On October 27, 2025, 40-year-old Givon Montrell Hodges of Washington, NC left Superior Court in Beaufort County and failed to return.
