Press Release:

Raleigh, N.C.     On Saturday in Greensboro at the North Carolina Republican Party convention, State Representative Mark Brody was elected by delegates to the North Carolina Republican Party as the Republican National Committeeman for the state. Brody ran on a platform of standing firm on conservative principles and believing in the NC Republican Party platform.

Brody represents District 55 which is Anson and Union counties. Brody is serving his second term in the legislature. Brody's election as Committeeman maintains a State Representative as a member of the three body committee from NC as Representative David Lewis just finished his term as the National Committeeman.

In the legislature, Representative Brody chairs the Agriculture Committee and is the Chairman of Education-Community Colleges Committee.

Each state has three members who make up the official Republican National Committee; the state party Chairman, the National Committeewoman and National Committeeman. These three members are charged with supporting the Republican Party with their time, talent and a focus on fundraising.

Brody said, "It is an honor to be chosen by my fellow Republicans to serve the great state of North Carolina as Republican National Committeeman. I look forward to working with Republicans all across this state to elect Republicans from President down to City Council."

Conference Leader Charles Jeter said, "The caucus is very proud of the work Representative Lewis did as Committeeman and we know Representative Brody will be an outstanding member of the Republican National Committee too."
