    Mrs. June Carol Haddad Hipkiss, age 77, a resident of Kinston, NC died Sunday June 26, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Chocowinity, NC.

    A memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Mrs. Hipkiss was born in Robeson County on January 26, 1939 daughter of the late George Milton Haddad and the late Lavelle Vivian Kalaf. On July 30, 1960 she married James Arthur Hipkiss, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 12, 2003. She worked as a medical assistant. Mrs. Hipkiss was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Kinston.

    Survivors include a daughter: Georgette "Gigi" Huggins and her husband Paul of Chocowinity; a son: James A. Hipkiss, Jr. and his wife Kim of La Grange, NC;

    two brothers: Melvin Haddad of East Bridgewater, MA and Edward Haddad of Hendersonville, NC and five grandchildren: Hayden Huggins, Remington Huggins, Tanith Huggins, Ashley Hipkiss and Cassidy Hipkiss. Mrs. Hipkiss was predeceased by a brother: George Haddad and two grandchildren: Tristan James Huggins and Talhia Caroline Huggins.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to Service League of Greenville, Inpatient Hospice, 920 Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27835.
