Obituary: William Christopher "Chris" McFadden | Eastern NC Now

   William Christopher "Chris" McFadden, age 18, a resident of Northwood Road, Washington, NC died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his home. A celebration of life will be Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service, officiated by Sam Grist and Joan Fischer. A reception for family and friends will be held immediately following the service. The family will receive friends at other times at the home.

   Chris was born on October 28, 1992 in Washington, NC, son of Brown McFadden and Sandy McFadden. He was a graduate of Washington High School where he was a member of the Rifle Team, Raider Team, and the Jr. ROTC program. For his senior project Chris did work in aviation careers and ultimately earned his student pilots license. Chris was a member of Boy Scout Troop 21 and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a student at Beaufort County Community College in the automotive program.

   In addition to his parents Chris is survived by a brother, Richard Scott Brown of Washington, and two sisters, Leanna Rose McFadden of the home and Crystal Anne Brown of Fletcher, NC.
