Steven M. Dodson | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Steven McKinley Dodson, age 60, a resident of Wilmington and a former resident of Mebane passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016.

    Steve was born in Alamance County on October 14, 1955 to the late George Donald Dodson and Virginia Knight Dodson who survives. He was a 1973 graduate of Eastern High School. He was employed in the telephone industry most of his life and before retiring, he was director with Nortel. He was an avid skydiver having completed over 3000 jumps. He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Wilmington.

    Survivors include his mother Virginia K. Dodson of Wilmington, one daughter, Christie Doss and husband Jay of Snow Camp, two grandchildren, Logan Doss, Payton Doss, two sisters, Donna Dodson of Wilmington, June Dodson of Wilmington, two nephews, Brandon Dunn of Mebane, Mark Dodson of Wilmington and special family, Rick Moore and wife Cheryl of Mebane and Tyler Moore of Mebane. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Dodson.

    Memorial services will be held at a later date.
