Press Release:

    Good Morning:

Some updated information to correct some rumors or incorrect guidance issued by unknown parties:

Please get the word out to DSA, EA, DRC staff, FEMA Corp.

Inspections returned initially as Inaccessible are complete and are returned for processing. When the homes become accessible, the applicants need to call the Helpline, to get their inspections sent back out for the inspection to be completed...

I'm getting reports of FEMA Staff out in the field telling applicants to call their Inspector back, to get their inspections reissued and completed... this is incorrect and needs to stop...

The messaging here needs to be to Contact the Processing Centers and get the Inspection sent back out so their inspections can be completed.

This is causing the inspectors to have to spend time and risk upsetting our applicants trying to tell them they can't do anything to get their inspection sent back out.

Can we please have this addressed on the Team meetings calls and conference calls with the field staff?

If any ask or if you want to post this in the impacted areas of the County.

    Thank You,

    John Pack

While this afternoon’s update once again included increased probabilities of moderate to major impacts, it will likely be tomorrow before we receive specific accumulation details.
Government and its bureaucracy are not perfect, and never has been in this self-governed society, here at the local level, at our state level, and at our federal level, therefore, it is incumbent upon all elected politicians to seek a comfortable level of representation for our constituents.
Beaufort County is implementing a new emergency alert system. All residents are encouraged to sign up to receive alerts via phone and email.
