    Mr. Billy Gene White, age 72, a resident of the Cotton Patch Landing in Blounts Creek, NC, died unexpectedly Monday, November 07, 2016 at his residence.

    Billy was born February 19, 1944 to the late Louise Hill White and Richard Wilton White in Lenoir County. He attended Moss High School in Kinston, NC and was an avid ECU supporter. He also loved fishing and hunting. Billy worked for DuPont until his retirement in 1994 and served as Doc Master at Cypress Landing.

    In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother, Tony White. Survivors include one son, Tim White (Sue), of Blounts Creek, NC, one brother, Richard White, two sisters, Sandra White and Phyllis May, one step grandchild, Bruce Lee (Kristen) and one step great grandchild, Mason Lee.

    A private celebration of Billy's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to National Wild Turkey Federation, 770 Augusta Road, Edgefield, SC 29824.
