    Ms. Janice Marie Cox Foreman, age 71, a resident of Bath , NC, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Vidant Pitt Hospital in Greenville, NC.

    Janice was born July 9, 1945 to the late Lucy Mae Stocks Cox and James Calvin Cox, Sr. She was a graduate of Bath High School and later married her life partner Charles Oliver Foreman, Sr who preceded her in death in 2013. Janice worked for many years for Samson Shirt Factory as a seamstress and later for Fountain Power Boats in the upholstery department.

    She was also a past member of Saint Clair's Church of Christ.

    Survivors include one daughter, Greta Marie Foreman Compton of Salisbury, NC, four sons: Timothy Dale Foreman, Sr of Bath, NC, Curtis Lee Foreman of Gold Hill, NC, Charles Oliver Foreman, Jr of Villa Rica, GA, and Hugh James Foreman of Washington, NC. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, one brother, James Calvin Cox, Jr of Washington, NC and one sister, Joyce Cox Watson of Plymouth, NC.

    A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2016 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the cancer center of the donor's choice.
