    Mr. Billy Adron Jones, age 78, a resident of 1545 Mill Hole Road, Washington died Friday, November 25, 2016 at his home.

    A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday November 27, 2016 at Rosemary Church of Christ officiated by Keith Hommema and Mike Caton. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Robert Hedgepeth, Sterling Woolard, Gary Miller, Dewayne Woolard, Sam Webster and Derek Hommema will serve as pallbearers. Dewey Wayne Woolard, John Moss and Elwood Swain will serve as honorary pallbearers.

    Mr. Jones was born in Beaufort County on November 27, 1937, son of the late Jesse Alvin Jones and Esther Mae Hodges Jones. He was a 1956 graduate of Chocowinity High School. On May 13, 1957 he married the former Eursil Marie Woolard who preceded him in death on July 6, 2016. Mr. Jones was employed with National Spinning for 18 years and PCS for over 20 years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Rosemary Church of Christ and formerly served as a deacon.

    He is survived by his children: Dewey Adron Jones and wife Susan of Washington, Sheila Hommema and husband Keith of Galax, VA, and Penelope Radcliffe and husband Reid of Pinetown; his grandchildren: Derek Hommema, Kelly Jones, Jenna Jones, Macy Radcliffe and Tyler Radcliffe; his great grandchildren: Adolynn Hommema and Haylen Hommema; and his sister: Betsey Joyce Brame of Plymouth.

    The family will receive friends 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
