Mr. John Dorenius Bright | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. John Dorenius Bright, age 75, a resident of 123 Silo Drive, Chocowinity, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at his home.

    A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Mr. Bright was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 11, 1936, the son of the late William Churchill Bright and the late Annie Maude Ball Bright. He served his country in the National Guard. Mr. Bright married the former Mary Louise Williams in 1971 who survives. He was a retired supervisor with Weyerhauser Co.

    Surviving along with Mr. Bright's wife Mary of the home are two daughters, Shelia Katherine Bright of Greenville, and Clara Louise Brown of Chocowinity; a son, Randy Lamberth Bright of Washington; a sister, Carrie Jean Carrow of Chocowinity; and a brother, Bobby Glenn Bright of Washington. Mr. Bright was preceded in death by a son, Jay Bright; a sister, Lillie Mae McVicker; and a brother, Ray Bright.
