    Mrs. Mary Ann Reardon Stokes, age 76 a resident of Belhaven, NC, died Tuesday April 4, 2017 at Autumnfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

    A funeral mass will be held 1:00 PM Friday April 7, 2017 at Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and will be officiated by Father Harry J. Stokes, Jr. Entombment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape May, NJ on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM.

    Mrs. Stokes was born in Cuyahoga County, OH to the late Roger and Mary Reardon. On June 23, 1973, she married Harry John Stokes, Sr. who survives. She graduated from Akron University with an Associate's Degree in business. Mrs. Stokes worked for Ohio Bell Telephone Company for more than 20 years. She volunteered at her children's schools in many functions, enjoyed cooking, and loved animals. Mrs. Stokes regularly attended church and church functions and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was a member of Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.

    In addition to her husband, survivors include her son, Father Harry J. Stokes, Jr. of St. Joseph's Parish in Pomfret, MD, her daughter, Heidi, a brother, James Reardon, three sisters, Eileen Reardon, Margaret Reardon, Rose Mary Carroll and husband Daniel, and many nieces and nephews.

    She is preceded in death by her brother, Roger Reardon.
