    Mr. Timothy "Tim" Murray Steadman, age 60, a resident of Belhaven, NC died Wednesday June 28, 2017 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill surrounded by his family.

    A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday July 2, 2017 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and will be officiated by Scott Askew. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery. Matthew Neal, Will Clarke, Vann Cooper, Terry Cooper, Reid Cooper and Mark Cooper, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

    Mr. Steadman was born in Halifax County, NC on December 8, 1956 to the late Thomas Alan Steadman and Geraldine Hyman Steadman. On June 29, 1979, he married his childhood sweetheart the former Debbie Sue Cooper who survives. Mr. Steadman worked as an electrical lineman and in the Coastal Lumber Mill. He enjoyed surfing and skiing in his younger years and as he was older he enjoyed photography and his fish pond. Mr. Steadman loved his family and his wife, children, and grandchildren were never far from his mind.

    In addition to his wife Debbie C. Steadman, survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Steadman Neal and husband Matthew of Pantego, Ashley Steadman Clarke and husband Will of Greenville, Megan Leigh Steadman of Belhaven, four grandchildren, Maddox Steadman Simpkins, Braelen Scott Neal, Harper Grayce Clarke, Chandler Paige Clarke, and a brother Boyd Steadman of Washington.

    He is preceded in death by a brother Thomas Alan Steadman, Jr.

    The family will receive friends Sunday July 2, 2017 from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.
