    Ms. Marianne Applegate Daniels, age 68, a resident of 42 Tate Road, Belhaven, NC died Saturday September 16, 2017 at her home.

    A private graveside funeral service will be held. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday September 18, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.

    Ms. Daniels was born in Ocean County, NJ on July 1, 1949 daughter of the late Robert George Applegate and the late Violet Clementine Jennings Applegate. She worked in food service with Beaufort County Schools at Belhaven Elementary School and later at Northside High School until her retirement. Ms. Daniels' love was for her family, she enjoyed puzzles, word search and nature whether it was at the beach or the mountains.

    Survivors include a son: James A. Daniels and his wife Laura Russ of Belhaven; a daughter: Lori L. Daniels and her fiancé Jerry Davenport both of Belhaven; a sister Patricia Deuel and her husband Thomas of Toms River, NJ and four grandchildren: Matthew Adams, Billy Daniels, Daniel Bennett and Joshua Bennett. Ms. Daniels was predeceased by a son: William David Daniels.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to Relay for Life of Beaufort County, Attn: Memorials, P.O. Box 2708, Washington, NC 27889.
