    Ms. Mary Sue Lilley Jones, age 73, a resident of Langley Road, Chocowinity, died Friday morning, September 22, 2017, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    A funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington officiated by Pastor Todd Parrish.

    Ms. Jones was born in Martin County on December 18, 1943, daughter of the late Daniel Benjamin Lilley and Mary Gladys Harris Lilley. She was a graduate of Bear Grass High School. Ms. Jones retired from National Spinning with 40 years' service. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington.

    Ms. Jones is survived by her sons: Michael "Mike" Jones and wife, Juanita, of Chocowinity, and Chris Jones of Chocowinity; her grandchildren: Ashley Godley and husband, Bobby, of Trenton, NJ, and Nicholas Jones of Chocowinity; her great grandchild: Jaliah Godley; her brothers: Joseph "Bennie" Lilley and wife, Polly, of Williamston, and James "Jimmy" Lilley and wife, Sue, of Creswell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister: Martha Lou Lilley.

    The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at the home of her son Mike and Juanita Jones located at 109 Carawan Road, Chocowinity.
