    Mr. Wade Harold Boyd, age 70, a resident of 16752 NC Hwy 32 North, Pinetown, NC died Thursday November 23, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    A graveside funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday November 27, 2017 at the Boyd Family Cemetery officiated by Chris Hux. Pallbearers will be Alan Hosey, Chris Alligood, Harris White, Nicky Hopkins, Charlie Cahoon and Charlie Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Hosey, Jacob Boyd, Walt Wallace, Chelsea Boyd and Bailee Linton.

    The family will receive friends 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday November 26, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

    Mr. Boyd was born in Beaufort County on March 6, 1947 son of the late John Thomas Boyd and the late Martha Frances Boyd. He was a 1965 graduate of Pantego High School. On April 17, 1965 he married the love of his life, the former Frances M. Alligood. Mr. Boyd was a retired mechanic who had worked at Farrish Ford of Washington and was the owner/operator of Boyd's Automotive of Pinetown. He was a member of Rodman Myers Hunting Club and Five Points Free Will Baptist Church.

    Surviving along with his wife Frances include a daughter: Terry Hosey Wallace (Andy) of Washington; two sons: Joseph "Joe" Lee Boyd (Tiffany) of Pantego and Kevin Wade Boyd (Crystal) of Pinetown; a brother: Clinton Boyd (Betty Lou) of Washington; a sister: Joyce B. Godley of Washington; seven grandchildren: Walt Wallace, Daniel Craft, Alan Hosey, Brandon Hosey, Chelsea Boyd, Bailee Linton and Jacob Boyd and four great grandchildren: Rebecca, Brianna, Ava and Wade Hosey. Mr. Boyd was predeceased by four brothers and eight sisters.
