    Mr. Tim Ivey Wells, Sr., age 88, a resident of Vanceboro, NC died Monday November 27, 2017 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

    A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Mr. Wells was born on December 29, 1928 to the late Robert Monroe Wells, Sr. and Maudie Champion Wells. Mr. Wells was employed by National Spinning Corp and retired December 1988 after 26 years of service.

    Survivors include his wife of 55 years, June Wells of the home, two sons, Tim Ivey Wells, Jr. and wife Jeanette, Patrick Lee Wells and wife Sheila, both of Vanceboro, ten grandchildren, James Wells and wife Ashley of Burgaw, Jonathan Wells and wife Heather of Aulander, Andrew Wells and wife Jendy of Fredonia, KS, Matthew Wells and wife Amy of Vanceboro, Christopher Wells and Elizabeth of Newport, Jessica Albro and husband Carl of Saginaw, MI, Ashley Godley and husband Chris of Chocowinity, Courtney Wells and Jeff of Saint Cloud, FL, Melanie Ross of Vanceboro, Kathy Ross of Texas, and sixteen greatgrandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Monroe Wells, Jr., a sister, Dorothy Dew and husband Henry.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tim Wells, Sr. Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
