    Mr. Alton Gray Wallace, age 81, a resident of 577 Beaver Dam Road, Pinetown, died Sunday December 17, 2017 at his home.

    Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Joe Wallace Cemetery and will be conducted by Bobby Owen.

    Mr. Wallace was born in Beaufort County on February 13, 1936 to the late Oscar Rayfield Wallace and Annie Leara Rolland Wallace. On June 28, 1958 he married Lewellyn Waters who survives. He attended Pinetown School System and retired as a carpenter and plumber. He was a former member of Pinetown Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church where he served in Layman's League and was a Deacon.

    Survivors include his wife Lewellyn W. Wallace of the home, three daughters, Teresa Wallace of Washington, Brenda W. Cory and husband Mark of Greenville, Glenda W. Fornes and husband Arvis of Vanceboro, twin brother, Hallet Ray Wallace of Pinetown, three sisters, Margaret W. Brooks of Pinetown, Sylvia W. Jones of Pinetown, Jane W. Frammersberger of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, four grandchildren, Susan Overton, Randy Carawan, Jr., Nancy Ross, Preston Fornes, five great grandchildren, Lauren Overton, Jackson Dildy, Ryder Garris, Mitchel Garris and Shelby Harrison. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Catrinia Fornes and Sabrina Fornes.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
