    John Charles Knoblauch, age 68, a resident of the Pamlico Beach Community, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at his home.

    A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2018 at St. James Episcopal Church in Belhaven and will be officiated by Rev. Jim Lupton.

    John was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 20, 1949 to the late Charles Anthony Knoblauch and Gertrude Marie Weller Knoblauch. He graduated from Triton High School. On June 1, 1983, he married Pamela Ruth Pancoast. He was a job superintendent with Norwood Construction out of Malvern, PA. He lived in West Deptford, NJ until 2015. John loved his family, friends, and his life at Pamlico Beach. He also enjoyed a lot of activities such as building classic cars, drag racing at Atco Raceway, riding his Harley, fishing, crabbing, and a good boat ride. He also enjoyed having fires in his fire pit with his friends, and sitting on his dock watching the sunsets. John also volunteered to help with Meals on Wheels and with Martha's Food pantry.

    Survivors include his wife, Pamela R. Knoblauch , a daughter Jaclyn Colvin (Mel) of NJ, a grandson, Michael Barnes, a granddaughter, Jianna Knoblauch, and two sisters, Marian Rawlinson (Ross) and Therese Knoblauch.

    He is preceded in death by a daughter, Autumn Knoblauch.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pruitt Health Hospice, 810 Kennedy Ave, New Bern, NC 28560.
