    Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Keith Askew, age 64, a resident of the Long Acre Community of Plymouth, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at his home.

    A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Rupert Wallace. Burial will follow in the Askew Family Cemetery, Highway 32 N. Plymouth. Chris Askew, Todd Askew, Eric Bell, Trey Baynor, Casey Bell and Earl Baynor, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

    The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    Mr. Ronnie was born in Beaufort County on January 9, 1954 the son of the late Chester Rudolph Askew, Sr. and the late Martha Viola Modlin Askew. He was a 1973 graduate of Pantego High School. Mr. Ronnie was a self-employed farmer and a member of Rosemary Church of Christ.

    Survivors include four sisters: Glenda Askew Jackson of Pantego; Julia Askew Russ and husband Travis of Plymouth, Phyllis Askew Jones and husband Billy of Washington and Teresa Askew Osborne and husband Greg of Washington and ten nieces and nephews. Mr. Askew was preceded in death, along with his parents, by two brothers: Chester Rudolph "C.R." Askew, Jr. and Gerald Rudolph Askew.

    The family appreciates flowers and request for any memorial contributions be made to Long Acre Fellowship Hall Fund, c/o Brice Williams, 21861 NC 32 Hwy. N. Plymouth, NC 27962.
