For Immediate Release:

Friends,

I'm excited to share with you that I just formally announced my campaign for Governor in Durham. I was honored to be joined by Durham Mayor Bill Bell, other elected officials, and a crowd of supporters from around the Triangle. The broad support demonstrates that we are all united in our understanding that it's time to move North Carolina forward.

Be one of the first to contribute to our campaign.

It's time to help our economy adapt and innovate to create jobs in a changing world. It's time to further our commitment and investment in education to ensure it remains a part of North Carolina's DNA. We need a Governor who will work at advancing these issues that are so critical to our state's future success.

I have spent the past three years as Lieutenant Governor, traveling the state, helping our people get through the tough times and laying a foundation for the 21st century economy -- working on issues important to small business and implementing innovative approaches to education. It's time, and I'm ready to serve.

I'm proud to already have support of people from across the state, but I need your help to keep building on this support and make sure our vision for North Carolina prevails. Please go contribute to our campaign, today.

In the coming days, I will be traveling around the state to meet people, listen to your stories, and share my plan for our state. This campaign is about the people of this great state and making sure that their needs are not ignored.

Today is the beginning of a long process, but I know that our vision for this state will prevail. Please show your support for this campaign by clicking here to make a contribution.

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to seeing you soon.
