Calis B. Woolard | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Calis Brown Woolard, age 82, a resident of Greenville, NC died Saturday September 22, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center.

    A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be officiated by Pastor Jerry Waters. Pallbearers include Ethan Woolard, Nathan Woolard, Zachary Smith, Richie Smith, Tony Waters and Bryan Woolard.

    Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on December 12, 1935 to the late Armstead Brown Woolard and Annie Mae Hamilton Woolard. He was a truck driver known as "Cool,Breeze" until his retirement. Mr. Woolard loved sports, especially UNC Basketball and the Washington Nationals Baseball. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Woolard was kind, quiet, and a very sweet man.

    Survivors include a son, Sidney Woolard and wife Regina of Greenville, a daughter, Sharon Smith and husband Richard of Greenville, a son, Joshua Woolard and wife Courtney of Washington, four grandchildren, Macy Smith, Zachary Smith, Ethan Woolard, Nathan Woolard, and a brother Colon Brown Woolard.

    He is preceded in death by a sister, Callie Jeanette Waters, and two nephews, Timmy Waters and Wayne Waters.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his son Sidney Woolard.
