Died: October 2, 2018

    Mr. Ralph Byrd Linton, age 79, a resident of 810 Possum Track Road, Chocowinity, passed away Tuesday October 2, 2018 at his home.

    Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Sunday October 7, 2018 at the Clark - Linton Cemetery, 785 Possum Track Road, Chocowinity, and will be conducted by Pastor David Linton and Pastor Ronnie Gurganus.

    Mr. Linton was born in Beaufort County on December 27, 1938 to the late Dewey Franklin Linton and Myrtle Iona Clark Linton. He was employed with the Roberts Company and was a member of Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

    Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Linton of the home, Cleveland Linton of Windsor, two brothers, David Linton of Chocowinity, Mickey Linton of Blounts Creek, one sister, Mary Hodges of Chocowinity, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and former wife, Faye Phelps.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Geraldine Johnson Linton on January 5, 2006 and five brothers.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, Patient Assistance Fund, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889.
