    Elmer Allen Waters, age 79, a resident of Washington, died Sunday October 21, 2018 at his home.

    Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday October 24, 2018 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and will be conducted by Ward Sullivan. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Michael Waters, Allen Alligood, Eric Baynor, Patrick Campbell, Jimmy Baynor and David Bailey will serve as pallbearers.

    Mr. Waters was born in Beaufort County on July 25, 1939 to the late James Elmer Waters and Cottie Elizabeth Boyd Waters. On October 7, 1989 he married Nancy Lee Clark who survives. He was a 1957 graduate of Bath High School and retired in 1999 from PCS Phosphate after 34 years of service. Mr. Waters was a member of Sweet Home Church of Christ.

    Survivors include his wife, Nancy C. Waters of the home, two sons, David Waters of Washington, James Waters and wife Jessica of Chocowinity, three granddaughters, Briley Waters, Summer Waters, Zoey Waters, and two brothers, Steve Waters and wife Barbara of Cape Carteret and Rudy Waters and wife Jean of Pinetown. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Waters.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday October 23, 2018 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.

    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sweet Home Church of Christ, 2475 Sweet Home Road, Williamston, NC 27892.
