    Lynne Roberts Dunlap passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    Born in 1949 to the late Marie Diggs and Donald Thomas Dunlap in Cumberland, MD, she lived in Hopewell, VA, and most of her life in Charlotte, NC. She attended South Mecklenburg High School and continued to learn, grow and work in various support centers throughout her lifetime.

    She loved books, church, bingo, her family, and many people she met throughout her life. Quick to make friends with her open and friendly personality, sprinkled with a wonderful sense of humor, she will be remembered fondly by her lifetime friend, Jody Mueller and roommate, Mary Dear and all who came into her life.

    Lynne is survived by her brother, Donald Thomas Dunlap II and sister in law, Donna J. Walsh of Washington, NC; aunt, B.J. Diggs of Rockville, MD; nieces, Kim Dunlap and husband, Jerry Partin of Ft. Collins, CO and Karen Dunlap and husband, Mark Rapacioli of Winter Haven, FL; and nephew, Thomas Dunlap and wife, Meryle of Stevensville, MD.

    The family will gather for a private remembrance at a later date. They especially want to thank the staff of Ridgewood Rehabilitation & Living Center for their support and kindness throughout her stay.
