    Mrs. Lola Lee Wall Bennett, age 86, a former resident of Aurora, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at Ridgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center in Washington.

    A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Edward Christian Church in Edward, conducted by Pastor David Linton.

    Mrs. Bennett was born in Beaufort County on May 20, 1932. She was daughter of the late Benjamin Marvin Wall and Fannie Sawyer Wall. Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a retired custodian with Texasgulf. She attended Edward Christian Church. In her spare time, Mrs. Bennett enjoyed playing her guitar and singing. She served her community by checking on her homebound neighbors in Edward.

    On January 5, 1952, she married Medford Randolph Bennett, who preceded her in death, January 12, 1985.

    Mrs. Bennett is survived by her daughter, Lynn Pinkham of Pinetown; niece, Frances Hathaway of Edward; nephew, Jimmie Walker of Edward; and "adopted daughter and granddaughter", Betty and Christina Howerin.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Randolph "Randy" Bennett.

    The family will receive friends following the service for a meal at the home of her niece, Frances Hathaway, 207 Warren Street, Edward.
