    Mamie W. Hardison, 82, of Washington, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2019.

    Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Mamie Walker; her daughter, Rebecca Diane Hartley; her brother, Jeff Walker Jr. and her sister, Rachel Strader.

    She is survived by her husband, Walter Hardison, of the home; two sons, Henry L Blackstock Jr, of Pittsburgh, PA and Tim Blackstock and wife Lois, of Chocowinity; one daughter, Judy Carol Singleton of Washington; one sister, Aileen Riddle, of Washington; eight grandchildren, Brandi Burke, Colton Ray Blackstock, Elmer Ray Singleton Jr, Daniel Edwards Singleton, Paul Blackstock, Warren Blackstock, Lisa Woolard and Terri Ainsley; and eleven great grandchildren.

    Mamie will be most remembered for her love of yard sales, shopping at Belk's and dining at Hwy 55 (Andy's). She was a strong woman, a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed.

    Funeral services will be 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 641 River Road, Washington, with Pastor Greg Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30-12, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

    Services are by Washington Funeral & Cremation, Hillside Chapel.
