   North Carolina Representative Bill Cook will host his NC Senate, District 2, fundraiser at the Frank's Pizza and Restaurant on April 5, 2012, 6:30 pm. There restaurant is on John Small Avenue in Washington, NC. There will be gospel music, dinner and comments from the candidate on his perspective as to how North Carolina and NC Senate District 2 can best navigate our collective future.

   In the NC Representative's own words, "Do we shrink the scope of government in our lives, and retain our respective individual liberties, or do we surrender those liberties, in increments, to the vast "Collective" of Socialist's positions, politics and pursuits? That is the overarching question in North Carolina's People Government. It will always be my position to protect our People's liberty, which will keep our Republic forever strong. Help me help us to achieve the promise from our forefather's past patriotism. We honor them by continuing that promise made worthy by their freedom loving labors."

School announced yesterday that the so called forums at Chocowinity Middle School tonight (April 29,2025) and S.W. Snowden (Thursday May 1, 2025) have been cancelled pending the managers proposed budget.

The political schedule has suddenly become complicated. This is because the Republican party is deliberately scheduling events to conflict with our schedule.
The Conservative Club meets Wednesday February 26 at 6:00 pm at King Chicken Restaurant.
Karen Brinson Bell, executive director of the NC State Board of Elections, recently was elected incoming president of the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED), putting her in line to serve as association president in 2026.
