    Michael Edward "Jake" Woolard, age 61, of Washington, passed away on December 19, 2019 at his home.

    He was born on February 8, 1958 to Jahue and Dorothy Woolard. Jake graduated from Bath High School. He worked as a commercial fisherman for most of his life. His greatest enjoyment in life as side from fishing was spending time with his neighbors and friends of Duck Creek Shores. He was a member of the Winds of Change Church in Bath.

    He was preceded in death by father, Jahue Woolard and mother, Dorothy Woolard.

    Michael is survived by his brother, Darrell Woolard and his wife Phyllis of Blounts Creek; two Nephews, Ryan Woolard of Raleigh and Ross Woolard of Jacksonville. Also surviving is his beloved cat Tiger.

    Graveside memorial services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, NC. with Harris Ray Alligood officiating.
