   Mrs. Salathiel Frances Ratcliff Windley, age 88, a resident of 399 Beaver Dam Rd., Pinetown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday morning, May 07, 2012.

    Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church and will be conducted by Rev. Bill Mobley and will be assisted by Rev. Michael Windley and Rev. Matthew Windley. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Stevie Askew, Dion Askew, Thomas Smith, Seth Windley, Patrick Smith, Grayson Askew and Shawn Maham will serve as pallbearers. Cecil Moss will serve as honorary pallbearer.

    Mrs. Windley was born in Beaufort County on December 31, 1923 to the late Benjamin and Mary Jane Boyd Ratcliff. On June 9, 1943 she married Ab Thomas Windley who preceded her in death on June 20, 2008. She was a graduate of Bath High School, homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church where she faithfully served the church and her community.

    Survivors include three sons, Eddie Windley and wife Dee of Raleigh, Wiley Windley and wife Brenda of Raleigh, Mitchell Windley and wife Cynthia of Spruce Pine, three daughters, Norma Askew-Riddick and husband James of Pinetown, Brenda Gurkin and husband Jack of Pinetown, Linda Foreman and husband Phil of Pinetown, sixteen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Garland Ratcliff, James Ratcliff, Robert Ratcliff and Caswell Ratcliff.

    The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
