    Mrs. Doris "Ann" Pate Sadler, age 63, a resident of Ann Street, Chocowinity, died Friday, March 13, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

    The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

    A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory conducted by Pastor Glenn Pate. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.

    The following will serve as pallbearers: Glenn Pate, Roger Pate, Ed Pate, David Pate, Brad Goforth, and Ben Goforth.

    Mrs. Sadler was born in Mt. Olive, N.C. on December 27, 1956. She was the daughter of Doris Whaley Pate and the late Russell Pate. Mrs. Sadler was a retired transcriptionist with the Brody School of Medicine in Greenville. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and cake decorating.

    On March 26, 1988, she married Adolph Augustus Sadler, Jr., who survives.

    Surviving with husband are her mother, Doris Whaley Pate of Mount Olive; three step children, Adolph Augustus "Gus" Sadler III of Chocowinity, Steven Eric Sadler of Seattle, Washington, Leah Marie Sadler of Washington; step granddaughter, Alleigh Augusta Sadler; step grandson, Shawn Luke Sadler; five brothers, Glenn Pate (Vickie) of Pikeville, N.C., Joe Pate (Mary) of Greensboro, N.C., Roger Pate (Nola) of Seven Springs, N.C., Dennis Pate (Felicia) of Clayton, N.C., Ed Pate (Lorie) of Washington; two sisters, Wanda Goforth (Brad) of Matthews, N.C., Betty Baker (Steve) of Cedar Point, N.C and two aunts, Carrie Pate of Mt. Olive, N.C., Harriett Taylor (Emmett) of Swansboro, N.C.
