Don’t Bother Giving Me the Facts Because I’m Not Listening To You. | Eastern NC Now

The White House Coronavirus Press Briefings Are Interesting to A Lot Of People. Too Bad It's Not Interesting To The White House Press Corps.

ENCNow

Back a few weeks I could have written this Blog Posting and it would have been my opinion but it would not have been based on facts. Today I have proof!

I got out my Potted Plant Outfit and drove to Washington, DC and just got back with my Opinion Proven Facts.

My Unproven Opinion was it did not matter what information was disseminated at the Coronavirus Daily Briefings the Questions asked by the White House Press Corps remained unchanged.

Here is how I went about Proving My Unproven Opinion...

  • I bribed the doorman at the apartment building where one of the more Well Known Members (WKM) of the White House Press Corps lives.
  • Once inside I put on my Potted Plant Outfit and positioned myself next to the WKM’s Desk.
  • Shortly thereafter he returned home and he got right to work at his desk.

(I am always amazed that people do not take notice that a new Potted Plant has appeared in their world but they never do.)

  • I was immediately pleased with my foresight in bringing my Extended Potted Plant Outfit on this trip because I could lean over the head of the WKM and see every word he wrote.

He was writing a question to ask the President at that night’s Coronavirus Daily Briefing and here is what he wrote...
”Thank you, Mr. President. Since you are acting in such a dictatorial manner during this crisis I am compelled to ask this very pointed question. It has to do with the Severe National Shortage of N-95 Face Masks that you and your incompetent minions have caused to become reality because of your Bull-Headed and Uncaring Emergency Medical Supply Acquisition Policies. The Democrats have courageously pointed out that the damage as a result of this truly avoidable Severe National Shortage of N-95 Face Masks is causing deaths all across our beloved country. My question is, what are you going to do to rectify this shortage?

I am also asking for a brief answer from you to this question so I can move onto my follow-up question which, if I might say so myself, is a really nasty and insulting one.”

What happened in the actual Coronavirus Daily Briefing was amazing. The President must have received advance information that this question was coming because his entire briefing was devoted to one and only one subject...the Severe National Shortage of N-95 Face Masks!

It took the President and his Advisors 57 minutes to lay out the case about what had been done in the last 24 hours to remedy the Severe National Shortage of N-95 Face Masks. In the interest brevity I will now give you the bottom line of what they had to say...

As of 8 O’clock today every man, woman and child all across the Fruited Plain have a government issued 6-Pack of N-95 Face Masks attached to their belts. Foreseeing that not every individual might have a belt, every 6-Pack came with a belt that was specially made to carry the 6-Packs. Most amazing of all was the fact that the belts were properly sized to fit each individual.

After the 57 minute Coronavirus Daily Briefing had concluded, the president opened the floor for questions and, low and behold, my WKM was the first to be called on to ask a question and here is the question he asked...

”Thank you, Mr. President, since you are acting in such a dictatorial manner during this crisis I am compelled to ask this very pointed question. I am also asking for a brief answer from you to this question so I can move onto my follow-up question which, if I might say so myself, is a really nasty and insulting one.”

The Proven Bottom Line Is: No matter what is said during the briefing, the Reporters are going to ask the questions they came in with as written in their iPads back in their apartments while sitting next to their Potted Plants.

I don't think they are paying any attention to what's being said in these Coronavirus Daily Briefings.

Would I kid u?
