Strong Severe Storm Expected in Late Morning - April 20, 2020 | Eastern NC Now

    Information from the National Weather Service's 9pm update can be found in the attachment and email below. Tonight's model runs have made a slight advance to the timing of severe weather for our area. We are now expecting our greatest potential of severe storms to occur between 8am and 12pm tomorrow.

    This will be our last email pertaining to this weather event. Please continue to monitor local media outlets for forecast updates, as well as any watches and / or warnings that may be issued.

    Here is an update based on the latest model trends this afternoon and evening. The timing of the potentially severe thunderstorms has changed slightly, with an earlier arrival time expected. Also, we've shifted the area of greatest concern slightly to the south. Please see our graphic below.
