Tropical Storm Arthur: Time to Monitor its Track, Update - 051720, 2 | Eastern NC Now

    All,

    Our office continues to monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Arthur. A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Beaufort County due to our eastern boarder's proximity to the storm's track. The latest advisory from the NWS has removed the storm surge threat for our area, with the exception of the Pamlico Beach and South Creek shorelines. Otherwise, there were very few changes from this morning's update.

    Please see the email below and attached briefing from the NWS for additional details.

    Our next update is scheduled for 9am tomorrow morning.

    Attached is our third briefing for Tropical Storm Arthur. No big changes with this update. The highest impacts are still expected along the immediate coastline and especially the Outer Banks.
