    At the July 6, 2020 general meeting of the Beaufort County Commissioners, a myriad of issues were discussed, including Beaufort County Health Director James Madson. Beginning with this July, 2020 Beaufort County Commissioners general meeting, BCN will feature the Health Director's address to commissioners, and the people of Beaufort County, especially now as the number of Covid cases have risen for a variety of factors.

    From these Beaufort County Commissioners' informative sessions with the Health Director, we may possibly gleem the evolving causes of Covid, and its collective debilitating effect upon the citizens of Beaufort County.

Latest Governing Beaufort County

The Beaufort County Health Department has released the following announcement regarding the the additional appointments that had been previously announced.
As Beaufort County's premier highest tech internet related company, SNI, creates the highest quality representation of the Beaufort County Commissioners' general meeting for January, 2021.
Beaufort County will be receiving an additional 175 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for the coming week.
Beaufort County Commissioners split 3 to 3 on a resolution setting county policy that no major borrowing would be done without a vote of the citizens in a bond referendum.
This resolution to request the NC General Assembly to begin the process of a NC Constitutional Referendum to develop the ability to recall themselves back into session by a simple majority vote seemed like a good idea at the time, but failed on a 3 to 3 split vote.

The Beaufort County Board of Commissioners have been invited to take a tour of Pamlico Yachtworks, located at 230 Clarks Neck Road, Washington, NC on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 9:00 AM.

The Beaufort County Department of Social Services will be closed on Friday, January 8, 2021 due to an identified cluster of COVID-19 cases.

This Second Amendment issue has been overly discussed, with the two Democratic Socialist commissioners stating their nonsupport, and the nominal Republicans on our board requesting revisions, with even the Board's attorney electing to take a political position to support his constituency.

Another month, and another Beaufort County Commissioner General Meeting later, we will, by the mention of just two resolutions, determine, once again, who are the real Republicans and who are not.
