Sweden Refused Virus Lockdown and Now Its Economy Is Booming | Eastern NC Now

    Sweden is a clear example of proper strategy on the cornoavirus. It refused to go along with the lockdown proponents, weathered the virus well, and now its economy is booming. Sweden's medical experts told them that herd immunity was the best defense against the coronavirus and lockdowns slowed herd immunity, so the government did not close any of the economy. Schools, restaurants, hair salons, and other businesses remained open. Compared to Belgium which has a similar population and imposed a severe lockdown, Sweden had half the number of deaths from the coronavirus. Major Swedish cities have achieved herd immunity.

    Now the business reports are coming in, and virtually all Swedish businesses across the board are recording profits well above expectations
