A new study by the Energy and Environment Legal Institute pegs the cost of going all electric in the United States with wind and solar is $29 Trillion. In addition to the overall cost to taxpayers, it would also greatly raise the energy costs to consumers and make the power grid prone to blackouts during events like heat waves and cold snaps. By relying more on nuclear instead of wind and solar, the cost of making America all electric would still be $18 Trillion.

Yet the radical leftist Democrats are pushing this agenda very hard. It is part of the Democrat platform, and Kamala Harris has even been chief sponsor of Green New Deal legislation. Within North Carolina, Roy Cooper and Democrats in the legislature are also pushing their local version of this green energy boondoggle.

Unless Republicans win, consumers need to hold on to their wallets.
