Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely as Lord Acton said in 1887. It is still true today.
Armstrong Econmics reports:
Biden told the press before calling Governor DeSantis of Florida was “irresponsible” for opening up when other states were locked down. Biden objected to Florida opening up last September.
“What do you have to have to have these industries back up? You have to have people from New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Minneapolis, you’ve got to have people from the Midwest, you’ve got to have people come down and want to go to those parks, right? Well guess what? They are not coming now because of your governor’s irresponsibility.”
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio publicly stated that the Biden administration for reportedly considering a domestic travel ban on the state, calling the threat “unconstitutional” and a “political attack” on Floridians. DeSantis said: “Any attempt to restrict by the federal government would be an attack on our state done purely for political purposes,” DeSantis said at a press conference Thursday, February 12, 2021.
What is amazingly inconsistent is Biden has stopped deportations of illegal aliens and stopped Trump’s wall as millions are headed to the US in hopes Biden will give them all free citizenship. He wants to stop Americans from traveling to Florida because they are pouring out of New York permanently while allowing the Mexican border to be open. Biden is using COVID to try to stop the migration leaving New York City and California because of Democratic lockdowns. His solution? Travel bans to prevent migration, which began back in 2019 as lockdowns destroyed New York and California’s economy.
According to Michael Baxter, there was a phone call where Biden and Fauci, who is appearing in World Economic Forum promotional videos for the Great Reset, were threatening now to shut down the entire country using travel bans following the lead from Boris Johnson or Spain where you need government permission to move from one town to the next. Biden is threatening the Republican States and demanding they lockdown. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was on a conference call with Biden and Fauci where Biden said he would prohibit domestic travel to and from Florida because it would not lockdown. DeSantis did not take any shit from Biden who claimed he had the authority to “restrict movement” of the people. There is absolutely nothing in the Constitution that given such authority and it is a First Amendment right to freedom of movement. [There’s more…]

Government control of domestic travel has been a feature of all communist regimes and some other totalitarian ones. The fact that Biden is considering this assault on the basic rights of free Americans is very very Soviet of him.
