    Mrs. Annie Louise Latham Bell, age 89, a resident of Belhaven, NC died Monday February 22, 2021 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 25, 2021 at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by Pastor Brian Alphin. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of her son: Glenn Bell of Chocowinity.

    Mrs. Bell was born in Martin County on October 25, 1931, daughter of the late Dempsey Blake Latham Sr. and the late Nancy Louise Keech Latham. She attended Oak City High School and continued her education at Beaufort County Community College. On February 28, 1948 she married LeRoy Franklin Bell who preceded her in death on November 24, 2009. She was owner/operator of Pungo Gardens & Nursery in Ponzer, A-Bell Galleries in Ponzer, and Germantown Marina. Mrs. Bell was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an artist who was an expert in watercolor painting.

    Survivors include her children: Glenn Bell and his wife Susie of Chocowinity, Sherry B. Westmorland and her husband Jim of Winterville, and Jonathan Bell and his wife Sharon of Belhaven; son-in-law: Walter O'Neal of Belhaven; sisters: Barbara Latham English and her husband Warren of New Orleans, LA, and Shirley Latham Baker of Washington; grandchildren: Jamie Gautier and her husband Will, Jeri Bell, Blake Daniels, Eric Daniels and his wife Megan, Jaden Bell and Ryan Godley and great grandchildren: Avery, Kathryn, Carson, Grayson, Bryce, and Khloe . She was predeceased along with her parents and husband by a daughter: Sandy B. O'Neal; a great grandchild: Wesley A. Gautier, a sister; Edna Earle Latham and brothers: Alex Latham, Dempsey Blake Latham Jr., Bobby Allen Latham, and John Latham.
