Tillis announces he has prostate cancer | Eastern NC Now
Surgery next week
The LibertyLoft.com is reporting:
NC Republican Senator Thom Tillis announced on Monday that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Tillis announced that the cancer was discovered during a routine physical.
In his statements, Tillis said he has no symptoms and would have never known about his cancer without the PSA blood test that was performed. Tillis will undergo surgery in North Carolina next week and is expected to make a full recovery.
Tillis has served in the Senate since 2015. He won reelection in 2020 amid a hard fought campaign against his Democrat challenger.
