    Mrs. Dena Ann Sanders Buttry, age 74, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Saturday May 8, 2021 at her home.

    A private memorial service will be held later.

    Mrs. Buttry was born in Petersburg, VA on October 5, 1946, daughter of the late Walter Taylor and the late Hazel Bishop Tuck. She was a graduate of Beaufort County Community College as a Nursing Assistant II and worked at Washington Manor Adult Care Home. She leaves behind her loving husband, Ronald, of 35 years. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, singing country songs, and being on the water. Mrs. Buttry loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

    Surviving along with her husband Ronald of the home are her children: Lisa Lee Foster and her husband Joseph of Parkville, MD, Angel Fortney and her husband James of Portsmouth, VA, Arthur W. McMillan of Long Beach MS, Edward McMillan of Chocowinity, Terry McMillan, Jr. and his wife Heather of Corapeake, NC, Nigel McMillan and his wife Jenipher of Suffolk, VA, and Adam Buttry of Kannapolis; brothers: Socko Kissel of Moyock, and Rusty Kissel of Kill Devil Hills; sisters: Jean Mueller and her husband George of Chesterfield, VA, Helena McFarlin of Houston, TX, Susie Ashby of Lugoff, SC, Kathy Fulton of Moyock, Debbie Kissel of Moyock, and Ester Mae Russel of Peebles, OH; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
