Mrs. Jo Anne Carraway Ball | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Jo Anne Carraway Ball, age 61, a resident of 701 W. 11th Street, Washington, died Monday, August 13, 2012, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 17, 2012, from the chapel of Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, conducted by Pastor Larry Ball. Burial will follow in Jordan Family Cemetery in Pinetown.

    Mrs. Ball was born in Beaufort County on August 23, 1950. She was the daughter of Hazel Ward Carraway and the late Bryan Carraway. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Ball attended Life Quest and enjoyed American Legion functions.

    Survivors include her daughter, Tonya Avery and husband, Randy of Ayden; her son, Russell Ball II and wife, Delania Rice of Washington; her mother, Hazel Ward Carraway of Washington; her brother, Michael Wayne Carraway of Chocowinity; her sister, Susan Jones and husband, Milton of Chocowinity; and four grandchildren, Randy Avery, Jr., Jessie Avery, Bruce Avery and Michael Avery.

    The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
