Leftist trust give scholarships for "woke" eastern NC teachers | Eastern NC Now

 

A leftwing trust is putting up $7.25 million for "Transformational Scholarships" for aspiring teachers at NC State University who plan to teach in eastern North Carolina to make them "change agents" to advance "equity, diversity, and inclusion".  The grant from "The Anonymous Trust" will pay for scholarships for 100 students committed to far left goals who plan to teach in eastern NC.  This is clearly an effort to indoctrinate eastern NC students into the far left mindset by putting these propagandists in as teachers.

 

 

"The Anonymous Trust" is actually the legal name of the organization providing these funds.  Its address is a P.O. Box in Raleigh, and documents filed with the IRS show it has over $228 million in assets.  Its trustees are Anne Faircloth of Clinton, NC and Maria Lynch of Raleigh, NC.  A review of its tax filing show its expenditures cover both left wing causes like the Environmental Defense Fund and some charitable contributions such as for hurricane relief.
