The Democrat scheme to strip states of the ability to hold their own elections is now doomed to fail thanks to Senator Joe Manchin. Democrats cementing into place the tactics that were used to cheat their way into total control of the government is looking more and more short-lived.

In an op-ed that was published in Sunday’s edition of the Charleston Gazette-Mail, the West Virginia moderate revealed that he would be voting against the Orwellian named “For The People Act”. The bill has been fraudulently marketed as legislation that would protect the voting rights of people of color.

According to Manchin, “I believe that partisan voting legislation will destroy the already weakening blinds of our democracy, and for that reason, I will vote against the For The People Act,” adding that “The truth, I would argue, is that voting and election reform that is done in a partisan manner will all but ensure partisan divisions continue to deepen.”

Manchin’s opposition to a bill that would effectively end democracy in America comes days after Joe Biden called him out. The attack was also directed at Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema for their refusal to knuckle under by voting to eliminate the filibuster. The procedure is the only remaining obstacle to one-party rule.

If Biden thought that his bullying would sway Manchin then Sunday’s op-ed piece should serve as a wake-up call that such heavy-handed tactics come with a risk of backfiring. Manchin’s promise to vote against the Dem election rigging bill is the equivalent of a torpedo strike amid ships.

Biden has been a fierce advocate for the Democrats’ legislation and has relied on his standard dishonest race-baiting demagoguery. He has compared election integrity laws passed by several states in the aftermath of the 2020 election as being comparable to the Jim Crow laws that existed back when Democrats were the party of the segregation and the KKK.

We all know that is just a bunch of hogwash, just like Biden’s oft-repeated lie about the very fine people “on both sides” hoax that was effectively used to dishonestly capture the black vote.
