Mr. Kenneth Wayne | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Kenneth Wayne "Big Wayne" Waters, age 46, a resident of 27 Morgan Rd. Washington, NC died Tuesday August 21, 2012 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday August 23, 2012 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by John Mark Windley. Pallbearers will be Denzil Anderson, Jr., William Earl Hudnell, Timothy Hudnell, Brandon N. Russ, Kenneth W. Waters, Jr. and Ric Jackson .

Big Wayne was born in Martin County on April 23, 1966. He was a graduate of Washington High School Class of 1984. On May 26, 2001 he married the former Camilla Tetterton who survives. He was an auto mechanic who worked at Motor Parts, Fountain Power Boats and was a truck driver for E. J. Tetterton Trucking.

    Surviving along with Big Wayne's wife Camilla of the home are two sons: Kenneth Wayne Waters, Jr. and his wife Athena of Robersonville and Chris Waters and his wife Samantha of Pinetown; a daughter: Brittany Elks and her husband Justin of Washington; his mother and step father: Elda Mae and Jack Clayton of Washington; two brothers: Denzil Anderson and his wife Denise of Tarboro and Randy Downing of Mt. Airy, NC five sisters: Billie Walston, Bobbie Downing, Brenda Garvey and Bonnie Hill all of New Bern and Ann Hastings of Chocowinity; and four grandchildren: Austin Fisher Waters, Landen Michael Jones, Braxton Gray Elks and Brody Michael Waters.

    Big Wayne was predeceased by his father: Paul Rudolph Downing.

    The family will receive friends 7 PM to 8:30 PM Wednesday August 22, 2012 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
