    Mr. James Earl "Jimmy" Berry II, age 46, a resident of 3107 NC Hwy 33 West, Grimesland, NC, died Tuesday August 21, 2012, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

    A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Pastor Ray Webb. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. J.T. Berry, W.G. Roberson, Jacob Corey, Reggie Toler, Doodle Hardy and Fonizie Swartz will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll Berry, James Langley, Craig Hudson and Steve White.

    Jimmy was born in Beaufort County on April 7, 1966, son of the late James Earl Berry and the late Elouise Squires Berry. He was a graduate of Washington High School Class of 1984. On August 26, 1984, he married the former Velva "Sissy" Langley who survives. Jimmy was an auto body mechanic who worked at Quality Automotive.

    Surviving along with Jimmy's wife Sissy of the home are two sons: James Timothy Earl Berry and his fiancée Christy Pratt of Grifton and Stoney Lyn Berry and fiancée Victoria Whitaker of Grimesland; a brother: Carroll Berry and his wife Vickie of Washington; two sisters: Dale Edwards and husband Michael of Blounts Creek and Cindy McRaith and husband Tim of Houston, TX.; four grandchildren: Jamie Ellers, Carla Ellers, Lil Bryan Berry, Lil J.T. Berry; a niece: Samantha Langley; his mother-in-law: Judy Langley and several nieces and nephews who he dearly loved. Jimmy was predeceased by his mother Elouise Berry, his father James Berry and a brother Richard L. Squires.

    The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 24, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

    Flowers are welcome and the family kindly asks for any memorial contributions to be made to the James Berry Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
