    Annie Laura Woolard Clark, 85, of Washington, NC, died Monday, July 12, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Laura was born on May 13, 1936 in Washington, NC, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Verna Woolard. She was married to Calvin Tayloe Clark for almost fifty years until his death in 1999.

    She is survived by her only son, Carl Clark and his wife Sharon of Washington; her granddaughters, Leah Moore and husband David of Chocowinity and Emmy Holloman and husband Lewis of Farmville; her great-grandchildren, Liam Bullock, Laurel Moore, and Sam Moore, all of Chocowinity; her sisters, Merle Lou Nobles of Chocowinity and Dorothy Alligood of Washington; and her sister-in-law Josephine Woolard of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; her brothers, Harley Woolard, James Thomas (JT) Woolard, and Nathan Woolard; her sisters, Edna "Sissy" Woolard and Verna Paul; and her parents.

    The family held a private service and interment at the family cemetery with her granddaughter, Leah Moore, officiating.
