Now it is New Jersey where governor's race has become dead heat | Eastern NC Now

Governor's race tied in heavily Democrat state

ENCNow

Two states, Virginia and New Jersey, elect governors and state officers in 2021 and polls show both races as toss ups.  The most recent poll is from New Jersey, a heavily Democrat state.  An earlier poll had shown Democrat leaning Virginia's gubenatorial race in a dead heat with the candidates only 3/10s of a percentage point apart.

The new poll in New Jersey shows Democrat incumbent Governor Phil Murphy leading Republican challenger Jack Ciatterelli 48 to 45, which is within the poll's four point margin of error.  New Jersey has been a safe Democrat state for decades.
